Children's Discipleship

In aligning with our church’s mission statement, our focus is to bring the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to all who are lost and to disciple God’s children in their daily walk with Christ.  It is never too early to start!  As we are told in the Bible, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

We are also told in the Bible, “But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”  Luke 18:16

Childlike faith is the basics.  A child can detect good and evil instinctively. Children love and pray wholeheartedly. My goal with God's Little Ropers is to introduce them to the biblical stories many of us grew up on and expand their foundation in knowledge.  The classroom is structured to make the lessons timeless and relevant to each age groups developmental needs   We use written, media and experiential tools to relay each message.  To hear and see it plants the seed, to experience it makes the seed grow.

Our children are precious gifts from our Lord Jesus Christ and we count it a blessing to be able to care for them and serve them through the ministry of God’s word.  We also recognize that when parent’s find a comfortable and caring environment for their children it is easier for them to trust that their children are safe allowing for their focus to be turned toward worship and receiving the message from the Lord brought forth in the main service.
